It all began
some time
in 1966

at a small office of Sampheng,  where most of our clients were local textile and fabric dealerships. Driven by a fervent belief in delivering the highest quality of service, and with help from a handful of assistants, our founder earned the respect and trust of those early clients. From that moment onwards, the business proliferated fairly quickly. It is quite fair to assume that Chawla, or ‘CHAZ’ as it is known today, is now among the top ten leading insurance brokers in Thailand.

In 1995 - Relocation

we relocated to Ocean Tower 2 in Asoke, a busy business district in downtown Bangkok, demonstrating our growth and reach to clients throughout the city. Our proximity to insurers and corporate clients also became closer, allowing ease of transportation and communication.

In 2004 - Office expansion

we moved into a bigger office in the same building as our headcount increased. Our growth and position in the market meant that our capacity needed expanding in order to meet demands.

In 2007 - Rebrand

we rebranded, updating our company image to reflect both our decades of history and the dynamic character of our work today. The new contemporary identity features a new look, a new logo, and a new name: CHAZ Insurance Brokers.

CHAZ currently holds broker licenses for Insurance as well as Reinsurance. Our services cover a full spectrum of non-life as well as life insurance engagements, which now operate under the title of CHAZ Life Insurance Brokers Ltd.

In 2008 - Second branch

we opened a new office in southern Thailand in the island of phuket. In an area where it is a hotspot for both local and foreign tourists, it was imperitve for us to utilize the opportunity to tap into the industry to help clients in the hospitality industry protect their risks.

In 2013 - First global partner

we became a member of the prestigious Worldwide Broker Network (WBN). WBN consists of over 100 broker members from over 100 countries, as we became the first from Thailand to join the network. Together we work to ensure that our clients are the top priority.

In 2014 - Second global partner

we were privilged enough to be accepted as a member of the Global Broker Network (GBN). Specializing in risk management, loss control and mitigation, working with GBN helps us innovate in order to better protect our clients financial health.

In 2018 - Third global partner

we joined Credia. Credea has tremendous international reach with over 2,000 clients from across the globe, boasting over 75 billion euros in credit insured global sales. Specializing in Trade Credit, working with Credea allows us to enhance our knowledge into one of the best in the country, cultivating every tiny detail in a trade credit policy.

In 2019 - Fourth and fifth global partner

we became members of Steadfast. and Trust Risk Control (TRC). Working with Steadfast allows us to utilize their global tools, helping us learn deep market knowledge through their unique propietary offerings. Working in synergy with TRC, we benefit from a strong alliance of members throughout the world as we continue to strengthen our position in the market.

In 2021 - Sixth and seventh global partner

we became members of both the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) and the Worldwide Insurance Network Group (WING). With CIAB, the council has become the leading advocate for commercial insurance and employee benefits issues. With WING, we work together to tackle any issues that may be present for our multinational clients, addressing both local compliance and regulatory matters.
